CRESCENT ACADEMY offers the following services:

 

  • Clinical Assessments
    Our staff of licensed professionals offer clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans for behavioral and mental health conditions.

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) The science in which the principles of the analysis of behavior are applied systematically to improve socially significant behavior, and in which experimentation is used to identify the variables responsible for change in behavior

  • Peer-to-Peer Support
    Services designed to help the recipient live, work, learn and participate fully in their communities. Examples of peer-to-peer support are: Helping the recipient access community based mental and/or behavioral health services; Assisting during crisis situations and interventions; Providing preventative care assistance and/or; Providing personal encouragement, self-advocacy, self-direction training and peer mentoring.

  • Crisis Intervention (CI)
    Methods used to offer immediate, short-term help to recipients who experience an event that produces emotional, mental, physical, and behavioral distress or problems.

  • Speech and Language Therapy
    Assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The therapist may select alternative communication systems and teach their use.

  • Occupational Therapy
    Assessment and treatment of rehabilitative programs that help build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills, as well as general independence, to persons with disabilities or developmental delays.

  • Sensory Integration
    Development of the subliminal process in which information received from each and every sense is merged and organized into one cohesive mental picture of the natural environment.

  • Social Skills Training
    Social Skills training helps individuals learn how to develop friendships, self-confidence, and demonstrate proper behavior. Our approach to social skills training combines multiple therapeutic fields such as speech and language therapy, behavioral therapy, and counseling. Social Skills groups are facilitated by trained professional and paraprofessional staff.

  • Life Skills Training
    Training designed to help recipients develop psychosocial skills that are medically necessary to reach an age-appropriate developmental level.

  • Work Readiness Training
    To be a successful employee, it is necessary to have a wide range of employable skills.  Work readiness programs focus on developing skills in job searching, interviewing and keeping a new job.

  • Transition Planning
    A process for youth with disabilities that focuses on working toward results-oriented goals after high school, such as post-secondary education, vocational rehabilitation, integrated employment and/or independent living.

  • Family Workshops
    Provides families with an opportunity to reconnect with one another and help strengthen family relationships across single or multiple generations.
